Volume I

Working in a partnership with the alaska natural history association , Albion Publishing Group produced Alaskan Native Cultures (Vol I). This edition featured the history, artwork, photography and contemporary culture and communities of the Tsimshian, Tlingit and Haida in Southeast Alaska. Editorial and design staff spent several weeks in Juneau researching museum archives, in interviews and photo sessions and enjoying the glorious wonders of the Inside Passage. This edition was the first of what was planned to be a three-volume series to include the Iñupiat, Inuit, Eyak, and Aleut.

The alaska natural history association partnership yielded a number of titles including: Pacific Salmon, Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, Glacier Bay and The Alaska Gold Rush.
